President Trump tweeted Sunday night at Fox News saying the usually conservative network “is now loading up with Democrats & even using Fake unsourced @nytimes a ‘source’ of information.”

Some found it very peculiar that Trump associated Fox News with other organizations that he previously has shown his dislike. Fox News is a long time preferred outlet of Trump and it is not certain what caused the outburst on Sunday. Trump goes on about attacking Fox News for the ‘BORING’ Democrat debates, and accused the network of using fake sources.

“@FoxNews is changing fast, but they forgot the people who got them there!” Trump said.

The president is well-known for his ongoing criticism of reporters and stories from various news outlets, especially the New York Times for  publishing “fake news.”

Trump went as far as to bring up Brian Williams, who fabricated a story during the Iraq War in 2003. Brian Williams who reported he had been traveling in a helicopter during the war, but had to make an emergency after being struck by an RPG. Later in 2015, reports circulated that Williams was in fact in a helicopter, but was following behind the actual helicopter that got struck by an RPG and the helicopter he was riding in had to emergency land due to a sandstorm. Trump went on to call Brian Williams “A very dishonest journalist!”

Trump linked the Fox News’ weekend anchors with the likes of Brian Williams, CNN, NBC and MSNBC.

Trump has often criticized Donna Brazile, a Democratic Party official. On Sunday he tweeted “Impossible to believe that @FoxNews hired @donnbrazile, the person fired by @CNN (after they tried to hide bad facts, & failed) for giving Crooked Hillary Clinton the questions to a debate, something unimaginable. Now she is all over Fox, including Shep Smith, by far…”

Sean Hannity is a personality Trump shows fondness to, however, this is not the first time the President associates the network with disparaging remarks. He took jabs at show host Chris Wallace in the past. He also added that the Fox News daytime anchors are ‘terrible’.

Just two weeks ago, Trump tweeted at Fox News and anchor Bret Baier for reporting on a poll that found 50 percent of Americans favor impeaching or removing Trump from office. Trump went on to tweet, “@FoxNews polls are always bad for me. They were against Crooked Hillary also,” He said. And later, “Something weird going on at Fox.”
