We believe that no voice should be shut down. No news should go unmentioned, no matter how inconvenient it is for our own beliefs. We believe that all media should be delivering the facts of our day and never telling you how to think, unless explicitly labeled as "opinion" To keep us honest, our proprietary platform measures our own bias daily and advises us on content.
At Scriberr, we want to offer you stories from every point of view. The problem with editors is this: they are human, and with that comes bias. In order to keep our editors honest, we collect your vote on each article to tell us how biased our entire platform is, at any given moment.
Welcome to Scriberr, a nonpartisan multimedia news platform. We’re a growing start–up company based in Los Angeles, California. Our mission is simple: Create compelling, original stories within our communities and beyond.
It sounds cliche, but the journalism industry is in trouble – objective reporting is no longer taught. Instead, journalists are pushing their political agendas onto the public, instead of allowing them to decide their opinions on issues based on the facts we know. Scriberr’s duty is to report the truth fully and give all sides to controversial, political issues so that readers can decide for themselves where they align.
We believe that a news source is most healthy when it encourages readers to think critically and challenge their beliefs with fact-driven reporting from all sides.
News will always have some form of bias, because each individual cannot be 100 percent objective –– but we can surely strive for that. It’s important to let people critically think for themselves. Everybody is looking to the media to tell them what to think, but not how to think. We want Scriberr to be a place where individuals can be empowered to think for themselves.
We hope every individual, no matter what age, race, ethnicity, gender, political affiliation, socioeconomic status, social position and religious beliefs will find content they love on Scriberr.
Media bias has been rampant since the beginning of time. Only now, we’re in a dramatically shifting age of data consumption that is quickly rejecting the one-size-fits-all notion of brand loyalty to media like CNN or Fox News. Readers crave something deeper, and we believe we can build it for them.
